Cheat days or free days work on the theory that people who are on dieting need an off for a day every week. This day, they can eat whatever they like provided it is done with a little moderation. The idea is to indulge and not overindulge. People who get over conscious on a dieting regimen harm themselves by suffering from fatigue, immunity loss and many other things. A cheat day helps maintain the balance.
The criticism of cheat day lies in the name itself. Dieticians believe that if one looks positively toward dieting, a cheat-meal is enough. Such meal cannot obviously include ice creams; yes they can have flavored cheese potato and cheese salads among other such things.
