You probably know by now that too much sun exposure can permanently damage skin and lead to the development of melanoma (skin cancer). But that doesn’t mean that we should hide in a dark office and avoid the sun. Getting enough sun helps us keep a positive outlook on life and avoid depression. Just think how gloomy everything seems when the sky is overcast for weeks on end . Sunlight also helps the body synthesize vitamin D3, which actually prevents cancer. Sunlight may boost the immune system as well. So if you aren’t getting enough sun, get up and go outside for a walk.
