Royal Jelly is like a cousin of bee’s honey and bee pollen. The jelly is produced by worker bees for larvae in the bee colony in the same way that mammals use breast milk for their young. Proponents of Royal Jelly call it everything from miraculous to an elixir that can cure many ailments. Critics point out that it can cause allergic reactions and can therefore turn out to be dangerous. They also dismiss any health benefits that are claimed by proponents saying that none of the supposed benefits have been scientifically proven. Until definitive proof arises of the health benefits of Royal Jelly, the debate will remain between those who claim that it will increase health and longevity and those who say it can only increase the profits of those who sell it.
