Many body functions depend on the calcium presence in the body. Calcium is found in many food items like dairy products e.g. milk, cheers, yoghurt etc. or leafy green vegetables. Almost 99% of calcium is preserved in the teeth and bones of the body. The rest 1 % is in nerve cells, tissues and blood.

The growth and strength of the teeth and bones is highly dependant on the calcium intake which makes it the most important mineral in the body. The fact that it maintains healthy bones it also prevents the occurrence of osteoporosis. The reproduction of human body and system is regulated by calcium. Blood clotting for the body happens with the help of calcium intake. The blood vessels and the muscles contract with its helps too. The hormone secretion and helping the body survive the toughest of activities comes only with the benefit of calcium.

Vitamin D is required by the body for maintaining balance of calcium and phosphate. The main source of Vitamin D is exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D deficiency leads to respiratory infection, rickets cardiovascular diseases diabetes and even Cancer. Therefore Vitamin D is needed to ensure proper growth as it helps to develop stronger bones. So you would obviously see why it is so important for babies.

However there is an irony in the baby’s situation. While it is a baby who needs Vitamin B the most, breast milk considered to be the complete food does not have enough amount of it to prevent its deficiency disease! While sunlight may be a source of the vitamin exposing your child’s sensitive skin to sunlight might make the child vulnerable to other skin diseases. Thus the medical community has come with Vitamin D supplements to ensure your baby does not miss out on this essential nutrient.

But remember the fact that body building alone is not sufficient you also need to intake large amount of proteins.

Different kinds of proteins are responsible for carrying out various processes of the body. First of all you should divide the exercise regime into different steps and should work towards it. Apart from that the intake of proteins should be regulated as the muscle building consumes lot of proteins.

According to new study you should consume one gram of protein for each pound of weight you have. The meals should be divided accordingly and a protein rich diet should be taken which includes eggs, meat and other sources of proteins. The breakfast can include eggs alongwith milk. The lunch includes chicken and other protein rich components.

If you don’t know how many calories your body needs it’ll cause health problems. Calories keep you energised so a high or low calorie count as per your body needs will have telling effects.

Before opting for a calorie cut understand how much your body really needs. Furthermore when planning calorie intake, ensure that you don’t axe your carbohydrates, nutrients, vitamins and protein intake. When switching calories make sure your diet is planned well so your body doesn’t miss out on what it needs because that will not promote your health cause but will instead weaken your health system making you susceptible to illnesses.

When deciding on lessening extra calorie intake for health benefits take help from a dietician or nutritionist because they can suggest the best diets so you don’t feel something is amiss and cause damage to your body.
